my first car, a 95 lumina had a wheel bearing go on me on the highway, snap the tire into the car and take out some railing. is that a stunt?

I also had some fun in my friend's turbo'd supra, doing a peelout on the on ramp and never letting off the gas until we reached about 165.

In my monte, i just race it every now and then. But I tend to baby her I don't need to go wrecking it.

 

I did the Dukes of Hazard ramp jump too. In my 1991 Z24 (those were the bigger ones about the size of a grand am). It was a Sunday morning, about 8:00 and some friends and I were just getting out of work. Going home down a major street that had two lanes in each direction, we decided to race each other. There was no traffic in either direction (seemed kinda weird too). We got to a section that had railroad tracks crossing the road; tracks were raised up some creating a ramp. My friends in their Pontiac Bonneville hit the brakes at the tracks. Me with my competitive attitude hit the gas.

I don't know for sure how high I got off the ground. But I hit my head on the roof of the car when I landed. [sm=gears.gif]Luckily nothing broke.

 

hehe yeah that duke of hazard jump is very popular with the young croud hehe i have done it at least 5 times hehe scariest one was done on the f-250... my fav. stupid thing/stunt would be the tug-o-war i posted some videos on it...

jsut be careful duane dont want to land and rip-off ur entire front bumper haha but its fun as hell!!!! love those "donuts" you were pulling off with ur monty makes me wanna go out and give mine a go.... hehe but did it once and messed up my power steering pump did it again and messed it up again hehe so havnt tryed it again

 

with duanes stunt the best trays are the chipotle trays. they are metal and last longer than the wood and plastic trays.

 

the metal trays make sparks, small, tiny, EXTREMLY hot pieces of metal that will mess up your paint job... a piece of wood is the best thing to use, just makes alot of dust. plastic trays burn thru too quickly.

 

a kid i knew that had a gp gt did reverse cookies in the parking lot at work that was pretty funny but id never do that in my car i have a friend thats got a isuzu amigo its the funnest car ull ever drive manual with the top down we hit a big ditch that u can drive in a when u go up and get air all u see is the sky and tops of trees a couple of time its been pretty bad when the person in the back almost flies out without the top on

 

Did donuts once in the snow with my youngest sister. In one of my '57s. We almost got a fire hydrant with the back of the car.

Another time I was showing off for a former girlfriend's two boys. Did donuts in a parking lot. Almost hit a parked school bus. We were laughing. She was cussing me out.

Did a Duke boyz in a '68 Plymouth Sport Satillite convertible w/383 magnum under the hood. This was across a double set of r/r tracks. Saw many, many bright sparky things out the back when the car landed.

One of the stupidest things I've done while working on a car. Laying under my '79 Dodge Diplomat to spray paint the underside. I only had one set of jack stands. Had the rear of the car setting on my floor jack. NEVER AGAIN!

 

I think it's important to point out that if you frame-by-frame the jumps in the original Dukes of Hazard tv show, you'll notice that the entire front end of the car folds up at like a 30 degree angle upon landing.

Maybe the shorter nosed cars get away with it better, but I wouldn't want to try it with a Monte.
