I guess the only Hobbie i have is my family. Were always together. If you see one of us, i can guarantee that the other 2 are somewhere near.

My hobbies include photography, and I also have a small 1/18 scale model collection. I currently only have about 10-12 cars.

Jamie Lynn...Do you have the orange colored street lights in your area? The city I live in uses them. I think those orange sodium street lights are very close to the orange you'd be looking for. What Canon camera do you have? I have a Canon 30D, and also just bought a Canon Power Shot SX10 IS for occasions where my 30D would be overkill, or just too big to carry around.

Cully... Very cool painting! Great job!

we are going to light it with flashes and/or strobes covered in orange gels. that's how i learned to light subjects at night in different colors. i had minor success with it with my film body, and shortly after i started learning the technique (from Larrie Thompson - check his shots out, he is AMAZING. i believe most of his stuff is from deserted parts of saskatchewan.) was when the place where i got my film developed closed down. i never found another place to get them done (cvs/rite-aid/walgreens etc. would have no idea how to expose them) and i just kind of left it alone for a while. now that i have the digital, i don't have to worry about that and hopefully i can start at it again.

the canon i have is the D30, it's older but serves the purposes that i need it for. i do need to get a remote shutter release for it, i'm going to go check a camera shop online for one, my brother got me a gift card for there for christmas and i still haven't used it.

When I mentioned the orange sodium lights, this is kinda what I had in mind.

These pics are from member "bfurches", Brandon.

Again, the site automatically lowers the resolution. His originals are spectacular.

I was thinking the same kind of lighting for your car, but in a different location.

Very cool Cully. I used to paint - I got a BFA in painting, but haven't really picked up a brush in 8 years. My medium was oils. As you can see there is a theme to my paintings LOL!
