Default What was your first car?

This thread is to explore what your first car was and do you still own it? Feel free to post pics and congrats if you still own it.
My first car was a 1965 VW Bug. It was rusty and it smoked. I didn't do much with it and it was long gone before I got my license.

1998 Plymouth neon, Dark green, auto,4 door,
parents let me but it off them for $500! With less than 150k
Put the fog light style bumper on it, had a lot of plans for it

Drove the crap out of the thing it saw over 100 alot!
Had to give up my licence becuase I had a heavy foot,
let my sister drive it then the water pump seized up, taking out the timing belt then all the valves, I blame that on my dad an I who didn't replace the water pump when the timing belt broke
a few years before didn't have a job, was in school and no money, the car got donated,

I'll have to dig around to see if I have a pic of it

1980 Dodge Mirada, slant 6. A Monte Carlo style, personal luxury coupe for those who have no idea what it is. Black with red interior. Automatic on the floor with console, kind of odd for a 6 cylinder car (318 V8 was optional). It was also a factory non-AC car, kind of odd for this type of car. I got it when I was 16 and drove it through college and beyond for about 10 years, til it rusted so bad it wouldn't pass safety inspection anymore. I patched the body a few times, but the underneath got bad. Engine still ran great when I parked it. It had an insane amount of miles on it. I have a pic or two somewhere, but never scanned them. This was the good old days before cell phones and digital cameras. lol

Kerry it sounds like it was a really nice Mirada. I would love to have the bucket seats, console, shifter, and steering column to put into my 81 Dodge Diplomat coupe.

I had 2 of my own, including a really nice '83 CMX that I rebuilt the motor (318 lightly modded) for, put dual exhaust on, etc. It was a great cruiser. My dad had a couple, too. Unfortunately, they're all long gone...

75 Cutlass s with a 260 v8 and a lot of rust. Mom and Dad bought it for 450.00 and paid for the insurance for 6 months. I was 16 and had no job but still managed to keep gas in it through the summer. Once the insurance ran out and I still had no job they sold it to the neighbor and he drove it for a long time after that. Here is the same car only mine was nowhere as nice and I had hubcaps not rally wheels.
