Default What will be your next car?

Curious of the other members, what kinds of cars are you thinking will be your next purchase?

Mine, with me being in the military and getting some lovely financial benefits from that and my parents... Im thinking that theres a good chance I can be getting one of these 2 after the monte (knock on wood) finally needs to go in a few years.

2009 challenger SRT8
Horsepower 425
Torque 420 lb.-ft.

The U.S. MSRP for the 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 is $39,995 (including $675 destination). The 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 offers an available six-speed manual transmission or standard five-speed automatic transmission mated to the SRT-exclusive 6.1-liter HEMI V-8 engine that produces 425 horsepower (317 kW) and 420 lb.-ft. (569 N*m) of torque. New for 2009 is a standard limited-slip differential, High Performance Red and B5 Blue (late availability) exterior paint and black hood stripes. A classic "pistol-grip" shifter is included with the available Track Pak which includes the Tremec TR-6060 six-speed manual transmission with Hill-start Assist.
Other standard features on the 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 include a race-inspired interior featuring performance seats with a red accent stripe and added bolstering which keeps customers in place under spirited driving conditions, four-bomb gauges with tachometer and 180 mph speedometer in the center, "Performance Pages" reconfigurable display that features 0 - 60 mph, 1/4 mile, and 1/8 mile times, uconnect gps, unique SRT-tuned ESP and ABS calibrations, 20-inch fully-forged aluminum wheels, red, painted Brembo brakes, hood with functional dual hood scoops, functional black painted rear spoiler and a unique exhaust note.
Street and Racing Technology (SRT) is Chrysler's in-house performance engineering organization that focuses on five pillars for every SRT vehicle: bold exterior design that resonates with the brand image, a race-inspired interior, world-class ride and handling across a dynamic range, a standout powertrain and benchmark braking.

So in front you have the 3.7-liter version of the VQ-Series V6 with variable valve timing, variable valve lift and a redline of 7,500 rpm, and it makes 332 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 270 pound-feet of torque at 5,200 rpm. At your right hand you have the six-speed manual transmission.

0-60 time? 4.2 seconds, quarter mile in 12.6 at 112.3 mph.

Sorry, but If I can nab one of these puppies... the monte would be going. haha

A Mustang!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really... I don't know.. theres lots of cars I'd like to have... but for now, I must be content to drive what I am driving... and when the time comes, I will decide what car I want to own then.

I love the Camaro's nad Firebirds of hte 98-02 body.. but they are getting old. I like the new Mustang... but they are everywhere. I like the new Monte Carlo SS (06-07)... I even like the 07-08 Civic SI (drove a friends once with a 6 speed)... I like the GTO, I like hte '03-04 Cobra Mustangs.. I like hte Corvette's....

It will probably all come down to what I could wheel and deal the best on!

In Cali, every third car is a Mustang. They are nice, but they are getting kind of boring. I have to think about it a little more. I like getting cars that aren't common around here. You guys may have lots of Monte's where you are at, they are very rare here. People that don't have Mustangs, have Acuras, Lexus', or some other Japanese rocket.

assuming im not real rich, or even if i am, it'd be a 2SS camaro, or G8. Or a newer monte SS with the v8. oor I'd go classic like i've always wanted and pick up an old chevelle SS.

I`m with Space on this one...along those lines....other than that I think I`d want a `68- `70 Charger R/T with a 383 or 440 Automatic.

challenger all the way, if i was getting one new id be an srt-8, and the orange with the hood stripe thingy, 6 speed stick, no way it would have an auto! of coruse, i will only be able to afford them when there 10+ years old, have 300,000 on the odo., and are rotted up to the bodyline.... still cannot wait to find them in peoples driveways, tho, and knock on the door.... "hello, i was wondering what you were doing with that moldy old challenger in the back there..." lol, thats how i came to own my monte, my buick, my olds, dirtbike, you name it!

I would probably be going for the Challenger as well, i have driven the srt8 before and its fun, but i would probably buy the R/T model over the SRT, love the chrome rims on the R/T and go for the 6 speed . OR i would get another monte again lol
