Default What to use????

What do you do when you have to move a FRAME LESS 4th gen monte over about 3ft and forward about 2 ft ...

you only have one floor jack

various items around the garage,
2x4's, little kid bikes , motor cycle, old tool cart, 3 wheeler, engine stand with a 350 on it, 2sets of ramps 1 set blue one set red, milk crate, tire w/o rims, t.v., 1x1's, 4th gen frame chunk, bags of leafs, wheelie cooler, and so on

What do you disasemble/assemble to move the monte that little bit?

I want to hear what you would come up with

I will give My ancer and what i did at Noon tomarow!!!

Wow, good luck man. I wouldnt trust any of the wheeled objects you listed to hold any substantial weight so Im not sure what I would do. Have fun!

depending on how tall your tool cart is, you jack it up, put it on jack stands, then slide the tool car under it, and carefully roll it....

steal the castors off of the tool cart, nail 2 2x4's on top of each other, attach the castors under the 2x4's, stick that under the trunkpan of the car or lowest rear spot, then use the floor jack to jack up the front and just yank it around on that?

my dad's been wheeling the body shell of his '56 chevy around on a large dolly made of scrap angle steel and 4 castors for 20 years, lol, i bet he could figure this one out!

You could have also done it like the Egyptians. Cut some trees down and lay the body on them and roll it around.

One a side note, you would not have to worry about leaves any more also. LOL :p:p:p

Screw it!!!

I grab ahold of the bumper and yank the thing where I want it to set.

now the truth
Wheel dollies. Been using them under my '06 LTZ since pretty much I got it 4 yrs ago. (I've owned my '06 monte for 4 yrs now????)

But so far, the dealership hasn't called and said, "Um Mr. Lynch. We have your ultra cool 2006 Chevy Monte Carlo LTZ setting here in our garage area. We noticed it looks a little bent in the middle. Have you been using wheel dollies under this car? After we told you NOT.... to?"

DING DING DING WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!

took the chunks of 2x4's that where about 3ft long and tied them together with a couple peices of 1x1's
stole 3 outa the 4 caster from the tool cart.. 4th was junk
screwed them onto the 2x4's 2 on the outside of one of the 2x4's and 1 in the middle of the other one
jacked up the back end and stuck it under the gas tank and let it down, then went to the front jacked it up and pushed it around!
