I moved to a new home that has a carport. No more leaves or bird droppings on the Monte. Need one of those "Monte Carlo Parking Only" signs.

Replaced all 4 tires. Michelin Primacy. Dang, the ride is s_m_o_o_t_h and quiet.

Nope, no bags. Its going to get a 4/6 static drop and nothing crazy as far as the sounds go. I already lost my hearing on my right side due to some serious bass. I need to keep what ever i still have. LOL
Hey JJ - My fiance had that same color 05 Saleen he bought brand new. His was #71. He traded it in for an M3 and it was bought local. We see it from time to time.

Default wiring upgrade

Well I've been threatening to do this for years, so when the end of my ground cable got messed up, now was the time for the "BIG 3" upgrade:

The puney wiring at the top left id the factory 6 gauge ground wires. The short end fastened to the frame in front of the fuse box, and the long (broken) one fastens to a stud at the bellhousing to block in the front.

They are replaced with very flexible extra-fine strand 1/0 gauge wiring. I got some scrap for $10, plenty to do the job. The 2 purples are the grounds, and the silver was added going from the alternator to the battery. Stock goes through the fuse box 1st.

Here is the difference in wiring:

I'll post some pics tomorrow of the installed wiring. The new + cable is a tight fit under the engine shroud, but it looks good in the red convoluted tubing, matching the red ZZP plug wires.

Total cost? $30

gmpartsdirect.com price? p/n 15321271 negative battery cable, list price $83.14, my cost $42.40 + $12.95 shipping = $55.35
Rock Auto $48 + shipping.
How'd I do???

I have heard a lot about the "big 3" upgrade lately. I haven't had the necessity to do it myself yet, but it looks like you picked a decent set of cables for a GREAT price.

Very nice I was going to ask if that was Kicker HyperFlex wire but I don't think they make it in purple. So what wire did you use?

I got my top swap up and purring like a kitten today. I just have to get her tuned on Thursday and I will be walking cars at stop lights all over MN lol.

(TIP!)--If anyone gets a North* TB or just the bracket from ZZP you are going to have to modify it to make it work. I had to drill new holes and slot the bracket to make it work. I also had to cut some of the bracket off because it was hitting the throttle linkage.
