I'm a couch potatoe....
Except during the summer... Then I'm a full time Monte Carlo Enthusiast!

Being retired isn't all its cracked up to be... Which basically means you need to find things to keep you busy....
Watching television all day isn't my idea of staying busy...lol
So I hang out here....on the MCF and keep my mind busy...
If I wasn't so disabled...
I'd be doing other things maybe even get a part time job....
Lately...
Between my Rhuematoid Arthritis and the weather... It has really beaten me down physically this past winter...
I'm just hoping once the weather gets back to normal my activity/energy level will get better as well!

 

Hi space rider. Great topic. I work on airplanes. I make sure everything that controls how the plane flys is in working order. The other part of my job is of course defence of our freedom. I wouldnt say I do it for the $$$ I do it cause its what I wanted to do. The money is just a nice bonus.

What I do for $ - since that's the title of this thread - is I work the graveyard shift for Oracle at their Austin Data Center. I'm a senior (read-old!) systems analyst, AKA linux admin. I do everything from system builds to performance evaluation, crash recovery to hardware replacement. Jack of all trades, master of none.

What I DO that matters most is father my 17 yr old daughter, an amazing artist. From drawing to painting to photography, she's the opposite of me. In every other way, she's just like me. She brings the real meaning to my life!

I'm also a long time car guy - I've owned 5 Camaros, a Firehawk and by far I'm enjoying my Monte the most. It has it all - comfort, power, wow factor. It turns a lot of heads here, you don't see many in Texas!
