The movie was actually pretty good, and that list seems about right. Except at my school the cool kids drove v6 mustangs or run down w-bodies.

The list seems pretty accurate. I was in high school in the late 80's and most of the cool cars were camaros and mustangs or 70's muscle cars that were works in progress. As for the movie I'll probably wait for the dvd.

Most kids in my school drove giant mudding trucks, ricers and G-35's. yeah, South Fl is kinda weird.

I don't think i was in school for that era lol. I want to see the movie so I hope its good. At our school the "cool cars" were a yellow 1999 Monte Carlo, a Foxbody V6 Mustang, a guy had a 1996 GMC K1500 that had a foot or so of lift on it, someone else had a 77 cutlass. And almost everyone had mommy or daddy get then like 02 impalas or 04 grand prixs. I was stuck with a 96 Cavalier and then a 01 Sunfire (it was black though ) with a cherry bomb glass pack and a huge magnaflow tip lol

Where I went to HS not so long ago, most kids cars had rust somewhere on them. Hardly anyone had a new car, but some were lucky enough to have daddy buy them a brand new car (wonder how that must have turned out...).

My buddies had Cavaliers, Grand Prixs, or old F-150s and Jeeps. Typical first cars. One idiot friend of mine had gone through over ten pieces of junk cars just in the last two years of high school. He always thought he could fix them, but alas...
