Question What Anti-Virus Program do you have ?

Hi Member's,
What anti-virus program are you using on your computer ?
Are you happy with it ?
My Norton trial period is ending & I'm searching for
something better, so I thought I would ask my
Monte Carlo Family for their suggestions.
Thanks in advance for your input/post
Below is a Top 10 review & I'm considering
BitDefender ?

I am using AVG FREE! You can download it fr Free from several places online, just search google. I used to have Norton, but it slows down the computer to much, plus its not cheap. Windows comes with its own firewall, so its not really necessary to have one in the Antivirus software...AVG Free has worked great for my family and I on all out computers, and its what we started using at work too...So far no problems! If you really want, you can purchase more advanced AVG versions online, and being my experience with their FREE stuff, I would say the rest is probably pretty good too!

Same here, think I got mine from cnet.com??? The old saying of you get what you pay for doesn't fit here. Been an excellent product for me. It did act up once but I uninstalled it and downloaded the newer version and it works fine

Im using Symantec AV 10.1(corp edition) it run very skinny, does not take up much system resources it's uses about 100k of my 8gigs of memory...

Do not use symantec AV above v10 they really messed it up...

that is an anti-spyware/mal-ware product, not an AV

still a very good program to have, it should be a part of every good arsenal!

On my MacBook I obviously don't use anything.

On my PC at home, I used to use AVG Free, but after a while they actually started to support the free version less, and in a lot of tests that were done, according to a few reports AVG had the worst virus detection rate for free software (I think it was like 78%)

Then I reformatted my PC and installed another free one called Avira. It seems to work really well for me, the only thing is that each time I boot up my computer there's a pop-up asking you to buy it, but that's it. And it had about a 90% virus find rate in the same tests.
