Last night went to bed. At 10pm something the wind kicked up as did the rain. By 11pm the power was out, so out came the generator so the sump pums could be operated. Otherwise it's a flooded basement. I laid back down for a while. Got back up when the generator started acting up. Laid back down and managed to fall asleep again. At 3am got up cause the generator had conked out. Still wasn't operating by 4am but thank the Lord the power came back on.

Now to find out why the generator won't run?

My @$$ sure was dragging at work this morning.

It was in the Mid-60's, today, near Boston. Long sleeve tee-shirt, hose, bucket and sponge. The Monte got a bath. Needed it ... BAD! Then, when she was all clean enough for Grandma to kiss goodnight ... I Windex'ed the Rear Window and applied my Vinyl Chevy Bow Tie graphic. She's starting to look "Street" rather than "Nice Old Lady" and I'm digging that.

Once I had her all cleaned I took her out and it got dirty right quick. I called a Boneyard that had a 04 Monte in there and the nice guy pulled the Wiper/Lights Multi-function Switch and sold it to me for 50-Bucks. I was sweatin' that one out ... because my High~Low Beam function ain't woikin'! The BowTie Dealership Parts Guy didn't even blink when he told me the new switch costs $487.00 Geezus! Almost 5-Bills for the Turn Signal Stalk. Yikes! But I scored one for a half a yard and now all I have to do is figure-out how to get the Steering Wheel and AirBag off and get into the Column to swap-out the Switch. I'm almost caught-up with ALL the Maintenance. A simple PCV Valve and a little Carb Cleaner in the Throttle Body will cinch it.

I got a pair of Monte Carlo Emblems for the side panels aft of the doors comin' from eBay. Charcoal Gray to compliment the Beige Bomber.

Almost time to cruise to the Hamburger Stand ... ain't it!

Just looked my Monte over today and found a flat drivers side front tire. Other than that it still looks good.

You go to remove the air bag mnake sure to unhook the battery (the negative clamp) or you might set the blasted thing off in your face.
