Still debating the Impala SS, found another one with an excellent service record/carfax one owner. Made an offer on it yesterday evening, waiting on call back. Doubt they will accept my offer but hopefully have a counter offer, 4 hours away sucks.

It's great that you are still searching & doing your homework. It's so much better to do it before you buy then after
4-Sure.
The high miles still scares me, but in todays auto market it difficult to find a low miled good condition ride in the $5K-6K range. Wish you the best for sure...It pays to drive 2 look/find the right one...Tell the dealer to bring it 2 you 
Good Luck on finding & getting the one that you need/want/desire...Don't settle for less (You work 2 hard 4 your $'s)...It's a buyer's market.
