Jen, I'm so sorry to hear about your hedgehog. My brother had one years ago - he was very attached to it. Space, there most definitely ARE hedgehogs in our human Heaven! Did you think we'd be separated from our animals when we get up there? Herewith a picture of what looks like a hedgehog but is actually a baby otter getting a bath:

Thinking of getting another, but the monte needs some tlc first.. Hedgehogs are expensive & I gotta buy a new cage. all together it would probably cost $300...
