Mornin' folks!

Today is my day off work since I had to work Monday. I get to spend the day at home postin' and playin' with my little girl. It's a snow storm out there. After 3 days of working at it after work, I had just finished chipping away the 5" thick of ice that was my driveway so I could see pavement again. And now the cycle begins anew.

My wife ripped the rocker molding off our new Fusion yesterday. She was driving stupid and I am still pretty mad. She ran it over an icebank trying to hurriedly exit the parking lot entrance at her work. That car is costing me a lot of money and I wish she could treat it like that. I suppose it is my mistake for putting her in a new car because we haven't had a car yet she hasn't crashed. She even took the BudChev over a curb and scraped the chin up - the worst damage on my car to date. But the BudChev is still safely locked away from her now and I guess it gets back the status as our nice car now...

Good morning guys.

Slow drive but I made it into the office and I'm the only one here. Roads are almost pure ice and the snow is coming down pretty good; going to get worse as the morning progresses. About 3-4" on the ground currently. NWS's updated snow accumulation map shows us getting 8-9" total.

Whales Greet Florida Spring Breakers

COCOA BEACH, Florida -- A mother and calf, part of a group of migrating Right Whales, along with a few bottlenose dolphins, showed up Tuesday afternoon just a couple hundred yards off the coast from Coconuts on the Beach at the end of Minuteman Causeway in Cocoa Beach, Florida - a popular hangout for the college crowd, including 2014 Spring Breakers.

Right Whales can weigh up to 140,000 pounds and reach 50 feet in length. These baleen-type whales feed on tiny zooplankton.

When Right Whales are active off Florida, speed restrictions of 10 knots apply to vessels 65 feet or greater in specific areas and times along the U.S. East Coast. It is illegal to approach right whales within 500 yards, according to NOAA.
