I feel for you, Tad. I hope you get power restored soon. Had a similar situation a few weeks ago; this entire N. AL region was without power. The power grid here is restored but held together by a shoe-string. It's basically fed by a giant extension cord from TN. It will take months to rebuild the major power transmission lines that were destroyed by tornadoes in Apr. They keep telling us to conserve energy or we'll be in the dark repeatedly.

BTW... I ended up buying a small 2KW generator from Home Depot (had to drive to MS to find one) to get us by 'til power was restored. That got the 'fridge working again.

My burns are healing up, still hurts with my seatbelt on, but there is no way I would drive without it. So I just have to deal with that one.

I like the new sig pic. Probably old news to everyone else, but I've been away so long it's new to me.

 

Lunch time at work so I am trying to get my MCF fix.
We are all ok wife spoke to one of the consumers power workers today 60 power polls are left to replace and we will be lucky to have power back by friday night. Turns out Mason was hit by a tornado last saturday. No structural damage to speak of just a massive destruction of power lines. I do have a generator runing 24 x 7 however Cable and network service provider at home is out along with power. "Lil Deuce Coupe" is fine in fact I drove her to work today. Thankful that I still have a roof over my head and not have the misfortune like those poor folks in Joplin.

So you may not hear from me for a bit but I will be back when I can.
