Thanks, Mike. I'm a bit sluggish this morning after an unexpected late night. A friend of mine I've known for over 40 years had a heart attack at the shop yesterday evening. I got home from the hospital to find out another friend of mine was killed in an auto accident yesterday. Needless to say my Spirit is flying lower today than normal.

that's quite the string of bad luck. I hope your friend is recovering from his heart attack okay. Sending my thoughts and best wishes both his and your way. Also out to the family of the friend killed

`Mike, Sorry to read about your sad news about your 'friends
I've learned young that human life can change or end @ any time
My parents were both killed in a auto accident when I was very young & I was raised by my grandfather & grandmother. My grandfather died when I was seven & now my grandmothers time is limited. I was taught that death or close calls are a reminder to 'Live & to extract the best from everyday that we are given.Space's grandfather has been my mentor & role model & he just not only speak true words, he acts them out. He reminds us all to be the best that we can 'be & to be thankful for each new day. The bum's & have learned over time to listen to his words of experience & wisdom.
I do hope that your above sad news can make you reflect on your life and remind you that every human journey ends & we never know when (?)

I hope that my message can remind you & readers to enjoy each new day as if it could be your last.
It works for me & I get many reminders everyday on my journey. (one just has to keep up on the News in our World, our life to realize that we are all just penciled 'in & we never know when the erasure will take our name off the human list)

*This has been a reminder to live/love & enjoy your life 'amen

This antique has an all steel body except for the after market fiberglass rear fenders. It's powered by a 1971 Corvette 350 engine with a Quadra Jet four-barrel carburetor sitting on an aluminum intake manifold. The engine has less than 3000 miles on the rebuild that included new rings, seals, cam and crankshaft, HEI distributor, timing gears and chain. The restoration also included a custom built radiator, a 1971 GM Turbo Hydromantic transmission with shift kit, cruse control, a 1984 Mustang II Power Rack & Pinion frontend, a customized1980 GM pickup steering column and 1980 GM pickup emergency brake. The braking system is from a 1984 Mustang II. The front rotors were re-bored for the Chevy bolt pattern (Calibers 1974-79). It has Bendix D90 front brake pads, and a new Ford truck 1976 -- 77 (10-1681) master cylinder. It also has a brand new water pump (Part Number 1301270), a custom manufactured drive shaft, a 1967 Chevy II rear end and 1976 Camero rear springs altered to fit the 1936 frame. The truck is equipped with retro look Classic Gauges, Vintage air conditioning and a 501 Sarco Compressor. The bed is walnut w/stainless steel runners, and the doors sport 1933 Chevy exterior door handles.

The interior has brown leather look bucket seats, headliner, door trim panels and brown carpet with an orange dash. There is a stereo radio with tape player, TV and four speakers. There is also a CB radio and radar detector installed for those long road trips. The truck has a custom stainless steel fuel cell, stainless steel exhaust pipes and mufflers, tinted windows and windshield, stainless steel door hinges, aftermarket headlights, a kill switch. All wooden body parts have been replaced with steel, and all connecting nuts and bolts were replaced with stainless steel. The truck has been painted with GMs 1976 Amerflint Tangier Orange.
Additional New Equipment in March 2013:
Rebuilt carburetor, replaced plugs and plug wires. Installed new air cleaner and housing and fresh Synthetic oil and new oil filters. Drained and flushed transmission and installed fresh fluid and filter. Replaced all high-pressure power steering lines and flushed and refilled system. Installed new rear wheel cylinders, machined drums and installed new brake shoes and springs. Installed new front brake calibers pads and machined rotors. Replaced rear brake lines and support hardware, replaced front to rear feeder lines and exit lines from master cylinder. Installed new battery, positive and negative battery cables, replaced main charging cable and rewired headlights. Drained and cleaned fuel cell, blew out and flushed all fuel lines and installed in-line fuel filter. Installed and balanced four new tires (P215/75R 15 on rear and P165/80R 15 on front). Cleaned wiper motor switch and contacts and installed new wiper arm and blade. Cleaned, inspected and recharged AC system.
This truck is ready to be pampered with a few new body parts and a little TLC. It would make a great daily driver or a show truck with a little work.
