I'm home already. We clocked out just before midnight. Nissan went down and sent their people home so our bosses sent us home. Found out tonight that I didn't get the team lead position. I wasn't really expecting to because of the buddy system there at work. That being said, one of the interviewers (who I'm friends with) pulled me aside before I left and told me to keep putting in for future positions, that he thinks I'll eventually get it and that I'd be good in that role. We'll see what the future brings though. Y'all have a good one. I'm probably gonna fire up the xbox for the first time in months after I get some laundry started.

I hear you on the buddy system, really freakin annoying where i work. Just another night in paradise here. Im kind of in my own world and not talking to anyone tonight. Already finished ky first aisle.

Are you at work also ? I am & it's been a busy night up until 4 A.M, but now we are waiting for one more truck. Our new tracking system is now working & we can see where our incoming trucks are on the maps...Neat feature for sure
What time to you get off work ? I'm hoping to get `off before noon 2day. I have to go shopping for food & stuff & hopefully see my grandfather for lunch. Wish you & member's a safe/happy new day...
Member's, Don't give `Up 4-Sure...Keep work'in on your dreams...Some are more difficult to get, but you will never make them come true `if you give Up 4-Sure!!!!

Lou, it definitely would have been nice. I would have been ecstatic if I had actually gotten it. I know one of the guys on the interview panel pretty well and he encouraged me to keep applying when positions come up again and that he thought I did pretty well. One bit of advice he gave me was to not treat it like a board (aka promotion board or soldier of the month/year board), that it's supposed to be more relaxed and not as formal as a board in the Army.
