That's how it is here in PA. Any cars with an OBD2 port get plugged in and fail if there are any codes or a visual inspection shows no cats.

Not only that, but all of the sensors need to be in a ready state, so you can't just clear a code right before you go for the test.

 

It passed.

On the topic of inspections... the monte is my first OBD2 car, I'm just praying nothing goes wrong before the test.. D: They test for everything here & depending on the mechanic if they see a cleared code they take your money & tell you to drive and come back later.
I'm no longer able to go to my normal mechanic, they can only do safety inspections. ):

 

Inspections are easy here just pull in, lights, horn, wipers & done

 

I keep my Monte registered in a county where emissions testing isn't required

I save about $40 and only need 1 sticker on the windshield lol

I know for a fact I'm going to get hit for the tires. The rears are miserable. I think they are originals. All dry & cracked.
Fronts, the new fuzion is halfway worn & the other side (was changed before) is down to the tread marker.

Good Morning . Its another great day . I think we got about 12 feet of Sunshine yesterday . I worked in shorts all day . Temp was in the low 70's. Same today. Then the bottom falls out. Thats when we hit temps back in the lower 80's . I"M LOVIN IT ! Sorry to hear about everyone getting all that **** and rain. But most of the country needs it. WELCOME Back My SPACE Friend . We used to walk past one of those testing stations while on our morning walks. That place was packed every day. Stumpmi texted me saying it was ****ing back in Taylor, Mi.
