Good evening!
Lovely day at work..The newbie we are training for another store is just a absolute nightmare. He doesn't know ANYTHING about cars. I'm wondering who hired this idiot...Ran around today going crazy, he still can't grasp the layout on the computer a week into working & gives every excuse known to man saying that he forgot or doesn't know things from the foundations class. The most annoying thing is he still doesn't greet the customers.. Tired of talking about it to him. I was at one point were there was 7 people waiting, 4 outof 7 were battery/alternator tests and CEL testing & he does not remember how to work the machines(and he was taught this!). The rest stood their waiting because the newbie can't work the cash drawer.
so yea.. Before it was over my other co-worker finally walked in..almost felt like the heavens shone down on me & gave me relief.

When I say he knows nothing, I mean NOTHING! He'll look at you with two heads if you ask him what a tuneup means. I've had clueless women come in and still know more than he does. The guy doesn't even have a license at 28 years old & I swear he still lives with family..Kinda...sad
You'd think when autozone hires they'd have some basic car knowledge question on their interview. A car dumb person is just going to **** off the customer when he doesn't know what they're looking for.
They do. They ask you things like "what are the basic components of a tuneup" or components of a brake system. The only reason why he's here is because he is friends with management in one of the worst stores.
I applied for Autozone once manager or whatever his title was said he wouldnt hire me cuz id have his job in a month, yeah the one in my town is usless
