Default War of the Worlds

Don't waste your money at the theater.... I would even question spending the money renting it.

The story line was crap, and the ending was even worse. They simply did not put much thought into this one...

I don't go to movie theaters much, but the movie that has me drooling is "The Island". I'll be there!

I've never been a fan of movie update of a movie (in this case it is a redo of a movie based on a radio show). Not very many turn out very well, and a lot of them just suck. I know there are some good ones out there, jus because I haven't seen the doesn't mean their there.

I have seen every re-make or attempt of the original. This one gave hints to the original story line but it was still quite different. There were too many inconsistencies and quite literally parts of it were unbelievable and did not make sense.

I saw the movie. I thought is was okay. The story of how the aliens got down to Earth was really stupid, though. Lightning bolts transporting them to their ships that were buried under ground for "millions" of years? The original 1953 movie was better. The story line was better and they actually came down to Earth the way they did in the original book and movie(meteors), which made a heck of a lot more sense. It was cool that they were actual tripods, but I also liked the "flying machines" from the 1953 movie. The aliens were a lot better looking in this new movie than they were in the '53 movie. I would rather not see the new movie again... ever.
