So how fast can a 3.8L SS (non supercharged) car go with mods. 0-60? 1/4 mile? I Have no idea.....Heavy *** car.

 

What kind of mods are we talking? Stockers usually see higher 15's.. lower 16's...

 

stock 3.8L gets high 15s? not too bad. what about the 3.9Ls stock. low 15s?

 

the 3.9's use much newer technology, so yes, they can see low 15's... there was MUCH debate as to who would win between a stock s/c 3.8 and a 3.9, as they have very similar power output, and same size...

Keep in mind, high 15's on an ss is with a tune, intake, and the standard exhaust stuff...

timing chain blew apart, all valves are toast, blah blah blah.. long story.. lol

 

Rolon chain broke clean. We know at least #3 has a bent intake valve and pushrod. The chain was not rubbing on the front cover at all and we're currently pulling the engine to try and determine what happened, if it was just a fluke, and what needs to be replaced.

What or who is a Rolon Chain??
