Default Update

Hey all, letting you guys know I'm alive and kicking...

I'm still really busy at work, (and have been since last july) these long hours are starting to get the better of me. Its getting to the point that I'm starting to get sick just because of lack of rest.

On a lighter note, I am still working on Eleanor. I recently got some new headlights and painted them and installed them... some of the best looking ones I think I've put on her.
I helped my mechanics son pull two transmissions from minivans in exchange for one of them being mine.
As you already know, eleanor was puchased by me without having an o/d gear.
Last weekend, we installed both of them, one in a 97 grand prix, one in eleanor.

The one in the grand prix looks like well have to change again.
The one in eleanor maybe as well... the torque converter is locking early. Spurratically, when I'm taking off from a red light, it just locks at 2500 rpm thus dropping the rev and making the engine work a bit harder to pull it.
Other than that though, she pulls strong.

The lady and I are getting married on june 30. Idk what we are doing on our honeymoon... I guess well find out as time passes by.

Anyways, that's the full update on me and my life... don't worry, ill be back full time soon enough.

Good to hear that you're still alive and well. I'd love to see some pics of the headlights (and I'm sure I will ). It sucks that the tranny situation isn't going so good for you. Maybe it's time for a Getrag 284 swap Anyways, I hope the wedding goes well. June is a great time to get married (June 26 for my wife and I), especially if the weather is good.

I WILL get pics up... it may be a minute, but I rarely ever take pics in the winter time... monte is always too dirty due to rain.

Zipper, what do you mean a getrag 284 swap? Is there asome link to this? I might actually try it if I gotta drop this piece again.

My mechanic told me that the problem I'm having with the torque converter could be due to the module on top of the trans, he told me his sons prix was doing the same thing until they read online that it actually has an alignment notch to set the computer to the module and trans.

As for the honeymoon, were talking about going on a carribean cruise or a road trip up U.S. RT 1
