Thumbs up > Twin-Turbo Lamborghini Huracan Run a World Record 7.8 1/4 mi<

By Collin Woodard
Mar 25, 2016

Earlier this week, we showed you a Lamborghini Huracan tuned by Heffner Performance that could do the quarter mile in 8.3 seconds. It was the quickest straight-line Huracan performance we'd seen at the time, but we had a feeling noted Lamborghini tuner Underground Racing would take a shot at building an even faster Huracan. And here it is.
UR's twin-turbo Huracan's quarter-mile time isn't just a tiny bit faster than the time set by Heffner. It's a full half-second faster. Whoa.

Then again, this is what the folks at Underground Racing do. They're the same tuners that built a 2000-horsepower Huracan capable of hitting 238.6 mph in the half-mile. That's insane

Vid is only 1:10 seconds, but it's fast 4-Sure

Underground Racing Twin Turbo X-Version Huracán<Click

Unpublished

https://youtu.be/RqjJn5x9li4

We would first like to thank Justin Herricks for choosing Underground Racing to build him this monster TT Lamborghini Huracán. Also, want to thank our team here at Underground Racing and some of our vendors and friends from Precision Turbo, Proline Racing and John Reed Racing just to name a few of the people that worked hard to make this process happen. This build was completed only thirty minutes before the truck arrived to take the TT Gallardos to the Texas Invitational so it nearly didn't make it to it's first event in time.

Justin's first build with Underground was his TT Gallardo Superleggera. After being hooked by the addicting power he decided he wanted to build something special and different that absolutely no one else in the world has. His final two choices came down to the Huracán or the Aventador. In the end he decided to do the X Version build on the Huracán. Some of the upgrades include a UR Huracán X-Version turbo system with a custom set of turbochargers from Precision Turbo, our Proline Racing built Huracán X Version long block, billet UR CNC Huracán intake manifold and billet 1st-6th air shifted sequential transmission with a billet differential. John Reed Racing designed the custom MoTeC M1 harness and firmware for full direct injection control, gearbox control as well as traction control and LP610-4 front differential control setup..

Be on the lookout for more videos of this 2,000+ whp Twin Turbo Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 and other Underground Racing Twin Turbo Huracáns.

Underground Racing Stage 3 Twin Turbo Vs. Bugatti Veyron<Click

Here is a short video we put together of Richard's twin turbo Gallardo at the No Fly-Zone 1/2 mile roll race event. Richard's Underground Racing TT Superleggera is a Stage 3 and makes 1,250 WHP using race gas.

Notice on the race vs the Bugatti Veyron, Richard actually waits nearly two seconds to go after the Bugatti takes off from a roll to ensure a fair race and still has no issue leaving it in the dust. It truly gives a great perspective on how fast these TT Lamborghinis really are.

Thank you to Omega Motorsports for providing pictures and Richard for the video footage.

Grants Underground Racing TT Gallardo wins 6 speed 1/2 Mile event<Click

Thanks to Grant for letting Underground Racing turn his Lamborghini into a beast. Grant's first pass out on a warm up run in the 1/2 mile from a dead stop ran 191 mph, then he backed it up with a 207, 219 and a 221 mph pass! Great first outing in his new build especially for a manual 6 speed TT Gallardo. This Gallardo makes over 1800 whp on race gas. He also has the JRR MoTeC M1 ECU with boost by gear and traction control. Look for more videos of this TT Lambo in the near future.

Underground Racing 233.88 mph World Record Half Mile @ WannaGoFast Florida<Click

We would like to send out a very special Thank You to Bob Helms for once again choosing Underground Racing to build him yet another monster Twin Turbo Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera. This past weekend we were able to dominate the competition and set a new record with Bob's TT Gallardo at 233.88 mph. The undisputed time to beat prior to this event was Cody's Underground Racing TT LP570 2R at 224 mph. Prior to the 224 mph run, Cody had also held the best MPH at 217 at the Houston Texas 1/2 mile. We were able to pick up nearly 10 mph from Cody's 2R best in Bob's X Series setup.

Also, we would like to thank John Reed Racing (MoTeC), Proline Racing Engines, Precision Turbo (Best turbo's on the planet) and our staff!

After verifying the Vbox file ourselves we wanted it more official so we had the Vbox file sent in to 6speedonline to have the run verified by the member there that verifies all Vbox record runs. It came back fully verified at 234.7 mph. Thanks 6speedonline for the verification!

World's 1st Twin Turbo Lamborghini Huracán<Click

Lamborghini has once again raised the bar with the creation of the Huracán LP 610-4. Hidden behind the new astonishing look of this Lamborghini lies a plethora of new technology. Technology like the AWD system that features an electronically controlled front differential similar to the Aventador, electro-mechanical power steering (EPS), dynamic steering (LDS), V10 engine configuration similar to the Gallardo featuring dual injection, launch control and a 7 Speed LDF dual-clutch transmission. These new features combined with the high definition instrument displays and perfected interior make for an exciting and fun video game like drive every time you get in the driver's seat. Now, how do you make such an amazing car even better? Easy, just add Underground!

Congrats to our customers Vinny and Pete for finishing 1st and 2nd at the Pocono roll race event in their Underground Racing TT Gallardo's. Both cars are stage 3 setups with race heads. I will make it to the next one. Looked to be a lot of great cars there. I never realized how big the event has gotten!

Here is a pretty funny video we found from the event.

Here is a short video of Dustin's Underground Racing 2R TT Gallardo at TI. This was his first time at the event. Dustin did a hell of a job racing his street car with the big boys of the TI event. He even beat me! Keep in mind that Dustin's car is a true street car that is ODB2 compliant. It also uses the factory Egear control system. This TTG could have left Texas and drove to California and back home to Georgia. He was also running on R888 street tires through the entire event, like the rest of his teammates. Huge thanks to our team and John Reed Racing.

Check out the video here.

Dustin's Underground Racing TT Gallardo WINS WannaGoFast GA event

Here is the Underground Racing event video from the GA WannaGoFast 1/2 mile event. Dustin's Underground Racing TT Superleggera set the event record at 218 mph, and then backed it up with 2 passes over 219 mph. Dustin's car is 100% a street car. It's also using the factory E-gear electronics. Keep in mind that the elevation was near 3,000 feet and it was hot with around 90% humidity. These cars are going to fly closer to sea level with better weather. We were glad to see Dustin get this win given that it was near his home town of Atlanta, GA. Expect more videos of Dustin's TT Lamborghini at the Texas Invitational next weekend. The R8 never got a full pass, testing some new stuff, more coming soon from that beast Special thanks to Dustin and Marty for bringing their cars out.

Check out the video here.
