Default Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Okay, before I get started, I want to warn those who have not seen this movie that you MIGHT see some spoilers in this thread. So stop reading now if you want to be surprised, as there are a number of surprises in the movie.

I watched the movie last night and I must say, it was a LOT better then TF:ROTF. The second movie was terrible. That doesn't mean that this last movie doesn't have it's flaws though, but it redeamed the franchise imo. Honestly though, I have to say that I don't like Michael Bay's choice in the lead women. Megan Fox and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley are not attractive to me at all.

But anyways, as far as the story went, I liked the whole REAL reason that they had NASA send people to the moon. That was pretty cool. There were a LOT of deaths too in this movie and like I said before many many surprises. It was cool though seeing Optimus as a warrior, and his trailer was AWESOME.

So, with my brief thoughts, what did you guys think of TFOTM?

Thanks for the spoiler warning - I didn't read the rest of your post. I hope to hell I can get out to see this in 3D. I'll likely have to blow the wife and baby off to go see it by myself. I'm super psyched about this one, even tho the last one kinda sucked.

I can't read your whole post zipper - in a word: was it good? Better then TF2?

MUCH better then TF2! However, the first TF movie might have been the best out of the three, but TF3 is absolutely worth watching.

I want to watch it again

Thanks! I'll see if I can sneak away to see it tommorrow. Then we'll have more to discuss.

TF2 had some great scenes. The scene where OP got killed was great but I found myself wishing they left him dead - would have carried more impact. It woulda been a good death rivalling his death in the original animated movie.

I liked the way the backwards explained human history interlacing with Transformer presence (microwaves, etc.). TF2 just got stupid with that, but I'm hoping "Dark of the Moon" can bring it back to a "suspension of disbelief"

I just saw it last night, and I liked it. I mean, fighting robots and explosions and I'm probably going to be entertained regardless of the plot.

However there were a few scenes that really "pulled me out of the movie"

I do think Rosie is hot, but the random scenes of her in slo-mo for no reason whatsoever were just annoying.

Dutch was hilarious haha. Can never remember that actors name but he's good. The dude from firefly

You don't find Megan Fox attractive? :-O

As for me, two of these Transformers movies is enough. I don't plan to see this one. Maybe it's my age or maybe it's the fact that I live in NY and have seen real life buildings destroyed (World Trade Center), but I just don't get off on seeing our landmarks or cities laid to waste. Never saw Independence Day, War of the Worlds or Battle: Los Angeles, and have no interest in seeing this third Transformers movie either.

I did it! I actually waited until my wife and my baby were having a nap this afternoon, then I snuck out to see it in 3D. So I'm in the doghouse now - the wife seems pretty pissed - but it was worth it...

That was the best of all 3 movies. Very violent, lots of surprises. I can't believe it was PG

Rosie isn't nearly as hot as Megan. I read Spielberg had Megan Fox fired for refering to Micheal Bay as Hitler-like. Bay himself was not offended, but was ordered to can her, even though they had shot footage with her already. I think that makes Spielberg a grade-a A-hole. Its was none of his damn business really. I guess he wants to control the character of all his actors off screen. But I'm calling Spielberg the Hitler here since he wants to be a dictator.

Anyways, was a great plot and story, which actually borrowed from the original animated series. They did use a "space bridge" to bring Cybertron to Earth before. They executed it better in this movie.

I'll go watch this again if I can. I'll try to go with the wife, but I couldn't take a chance in missing it on the big screen. Movies turn over so fast these days - it'll probably be gone in 2-3 weeks...

TFOTM is well worth it. I understand if people don't want to watch it, but being that I'm a TF fan, I had to go. I think the whole Spielberg-Fox thing happened because Spielberg is literally Jewish, thus the Hitler thing hits closer to home for him. Not only that, but the rumors say that Fox was difficult to work with.

Also, TFOTM was PG-13, not PG. Glad you enjoyed it though! I totally want to watch it again
