I didn't really get rid of the monte. Just wanted you all to know how the "fix" is goin to the blue angel.

Took it in yesterday at 8:00am to get the oil usage problem fixed. Said it'd be about 6 hours and most of that was just waiting for the pistons to soak in the solution and get clean. Here's the "loaner" they gave me to drive around since it was a warrantied problem. (I do have about 5 of my friends and my parents thinking i actually traded it though:p)

2012 Silverado with 10 total miles on it


ANYWAYS...After hearing nothing by 6:00 i figured i'd call and see if it was done or what what goin on. The guys said it'd be tomorrow by noon, so i'm rollin in a new truck for a little bit longer I gotta say though, it's not a monte. Once you're used to a sleek monte with heated leather and instant acceleration--it's hard to drive much else. I'll keep ya updated with how she's doin and what the mechanic all has to say about the issue.

Zach--i'm gonna ask him about that gasket when i go pick it up. I don't think the guy that's working on it was even there yesterday morning when i dropped it off.

 

Fooled me lol. Nice to get to drive something different for free for a change. Hopefully the oil problem gets fixed

nice...you may regret not having a JG monte, but it won't take long to get over with 303 ponies at your big toe.


anyone know if there'll be any difference in MPG's when i get it back, or some added power with everything being cleaned and such?
