Morning everyone, no work today for me, I'm gonna be closing on my moms house a little later! I will be a "home ower"..... I also had the Z34 inspected and it's good to go, only issue is, there is a loud knocking noise in the exhaust somewhere, the mechanic said it could be a baffle or something in the cat converter??? It did pass the PA emission test though.....

If you can get under the car, give the resonator a tap with a rubber mallet. It might be there.

Congrats on passing inspection and home ownership!

Oooooo, bummer, dude... I always come packin' my own. The swill in the office coffee pot doesn't do it for me anyway. I make my own with a little one-cup-pour-through-filter most of the time. That simple coffee-maker has been all over the world and got me through my entire military career.

Thanks Mike, my buddy did that, but he said he couldn't get to it, because it's internal? I guess it is no big deal, just annoying hearing it and embarrassing because it sounds pretty bad! It passed inspection, so it must not be very bad? Mike, is there anything bad that could come from it??? Let me know, thanks...

Depends on the problem in the exhaust. If a large chunk of something fell out and is stuck somewhere, it could restrict airflow.

But if it's just a small chunk rattling around it would just be more annoying than hurt anything.

thanks Mike, the car runs fine, could I replace the cat with an aftermarket one and hope that is the issue or should I just deal with the noise? I'm not sure if it is restricting airflow though?
