Justin, i love the intrigue, way nice looking car. does it have a leather interior? buckes / console? seems like most newer oldsmobiles i've seen have all the nice stuff like that.
as for the monte, i've never really thought of selling it, but if i did i think it would have to go to someone on here. i'd wanna be sure it found a good home
the 401 was a REALLY good buy, scince everything to rebuild one runs in around $2,000!
augi, the baby puke green engine in the pic is the 401 buick, less the carb and exaust manifolds. easy way to tell is that on pre- '67 buick V8's and V6's the valve cover's stand straight up, instead of angled like most other V8's
funny thing is, the 3.8 we all know and love today was originally based off of the 3.8 buick engine. the 3.8 found in the '80's buicks was based off of the '65 "fireball" nailhead V6 design

No, its not a brickyard spoiler... I like the current spoiler I have.
Ryan, the reason I was thinking olds 403 is because of where the oil cap is and the shape of the valve covers. Alsoo, I thought buick engines were blue and olds were green...either way, its a nice find.
P.s. the mod is nearly complete... just have to heat and fix a couple of angles and put everything back together.
