Afternoon all. A few snow flakes fell here today but not too much. My wife is sick with the flu so I have been disinfecting everything here today.

Lou srry to hear your mrs has the flu....According to the news...This strain of flu bug is a monster and has taken a few peoples lives in MIchigan...

I hope she gets well soon...

Sorry I wasnt on earlier today I have been doing a ton of running around as well as being on the phone with General Motors...Trying to get info on my Monte...

Unlike some of you that have Special Edition Montes...According to GM mine is considered..."Ordinary"... Meaning thers no special build number, Or even a production number. Grrrrrrrrrr. according to GM there was 69,1179 of them built in 1999. Closest they could figure mine was like number #116 out of all of those..according to the VIN#. Beause the standard Lumina, LS, Z-34 were all built on the same line at the same time...They had no significant #s of any run of vehicles..other than Sr,Jr which do have COA's as well as production numbers...

I spent the better part of 4 1/2 hrs trying to get it all figured out..
So for you that have American built Special Edition Montes and wish to get COA's, Build sheets or what ever: Call 1=800=222=1020...and ask for Mr. Veeko in the Heritage center...

For those whos Special Edition vehicles that were built in Canada Call 1-905-440-7697.
For all the info you need.

So thats whats been happening with me today....

How was your day?

Totally awesome new hod rod Leprechaun93!!!! Not only is that an awesome ride, but we now know you have renewed your relationship with the Monte Carlo community. We see so many members come and go, but your probably here for the long run I'd say! Awesome!

And thanks for that phone # STUMPMI. I have no COA for my car and have never known the number of my car. I have chased it and come up cold, but I'll try that number tommorrow maybe.

When I bought mine from the original Chevy dealership, the members here told me to make sure I get the COA. I asked the salesman about it, and got the same look. But the sales manager brought me into his office, and pulled the COA, "hero card", and cover letter out of his locked filing cabinet. Said he locked it up so it didn't end up disappearing.

Luckily, Chevy Customer Assistance has been more helpful lately. And has been issuing replacements.
