Hey Angie; you only gotta watch the drivers side. It's the only side you see when you get in. Lol. You could always weld the doors shut and climb in and out like the Duke Boys. YeHaw.I bet they never get paint chips on the edges of their doors!
Thats plenty of room. What I think your doing to make it hard on yourself is. Your watching both sides of the car. When you only have to watch your mirror.
I don't know how you got to be such a smarta** scary biker dude, but you're right. Again. I have been watching both sides of the car. I also back into the yard and turn around there, which worked really well until I backed into a hyrdrangea bush's branch and scratched the paint on the bumper. Now I'm more careful to make a tighter circle in the yard.
Mike, thanks for the 16" info. I found my calculator (hiding in my husband's pocket) and did the math all by myself. Turns out 88 take away 72 is 16. When I'm out there trying to maneuver the car past the chimney, it seems more like 6". Rick had a good idea though, about watching only one side of the car.

Well, I got the serpentine belt off of The Beast. PITA for sure. It's a lot easier to get off than I thought it would be though. You take a hose clamp and wrap it around the hydraulic tension portion and tighten it down. Sweet... Next step is removing the water pump. Any ideas on what I should do while I've got her apart? I'm replacing the water pump and the serpentine belt to give you an idea. Also, I have the whole front end off and the battery out and the passenger tire/fender liner out. I will post pics later!
