Figured i'd kick off the blog for once since its already after 2am. I'm still up from work, only got home about a half hour ago. Manager had me stay late til closing (1am) While she sent alot of other people home (herself included).
Got some bad news from my dad when i called to say i was staying late. He told me the place where my mom works is closing at the end of July 2012. Its a county run nursing home and the county executive was determined to defund and close it. Sadly the a*****e got his wish. Now 300+ people go homeless and tons of people go jobless and some how this is supposted to help our county. Sometimes i wonder why everything has to go wrong

i think its time i get some sleep, looks like i'm gonna end up sleeping most of the day away tommorow. All this work has thrown my sleeping way off.

Morning everyone!
On vacation from work till after Christmas. WOO HOO!!!
Rained most of the day yesterday. Was raining when I woke up this morning too. Weather guy on tv says it may be a green Christmas here in the Detroit area. Big difference from last year. Last year we had tons of snow by now. This year it's been 99% rain. Had a little bit of snow last week, but it all washed away.
If all this rain we've gotten was snow, we'd be knee deep by now. As much as I don't like winter, it would be nice to have a little bit of snow on the ground for Christmas. Especially for the kids and the Santa's sleigh thing.
