***UPDATE***My friend has just been moved out of neuro ICU to the standard neurology floor. Just got the fuel pump completely fixed on the race car so as soon as I shower I am heading to Indy and then back for a few hours of sleep before I go racing tomorrow.
The MCF is being heard!!! Thanks everyone!!

Prayers for your friend Barbara. As an actual survivor of both head and facial trauma I do know what he is going through (I was in a motorcycle accident and my skull was fractured in 3 spots, my face was re constructed and now has metal and screws all through it plus lots of other stuff) I wish him the best in his recovery

Ken I knew you were hard headed. But seriously that sounds like an awful thing to go through dude. I can't imagine what its like. I've only ever gotten stitches in my head due to a minibike, (apparently those are very dangerous) and a broken arm due to a concrete volleyball court fall. Everything else has just been minor sprains and cuts and bruises.

 

A brief update on my friend Spencer...the thoughts and prayers are being heard!!!
Spencer is progressing nicely and is now in good enough shape to undergo surgery today to repair his fractured cheekbone and eye socket. He is talking coherently and just itching to get back to car shows, auto modifications, and work.
He has regained most motor function and memory loss appears minimal. Still a lot of pain but he is recovering.
