Congrats to member "Butch049 and his 02 Monte Carlo "Heartbeat" for winning the last round of the bi-monthly photo contest "Americana". And with that honor comes the privilege to choose the theme for this new contest. The theme MILITARY HISTORY has been chosen and I bet it will be pretty cool. Many of us have some military related place we occasionally pass by or perhaps even your own military vehicle. Maybe a friend home on leave from the service, a father or mother with an old military uniform they are just wanting a reason to put it back on for. Lets see what we have out there. Bring your A game as I think Butch049 has an ace he will try to play, lets see if someone has what it takes to de-throne him with a cool BA photo!! Bring it "Butch049!!"

As Super Moderator P343 said get your Monte Carlo and camera ready and lets take a moment and snap a few pictures for this contest.

The submission period will end this Saturday night the 18th of July. I see that everyone unanimously voted to keep the 3 month rule so I can respect your opinions and will keep it on the books as such. So the photo you submit MUST include your Monte and NOT be older than 3 months.

I've yet to submit a photo for one of these contests, but I guess I'll go first this month.

Canada isn't as rich in military history, but I took this pic at the London airport a few weeks ago showcasing the Royal Canadian Air Force.



The jet isn't as impressive as the car IMO, nor does it really go with the Budweiser Chevrolet theme. But I think it works for the contest theme...

That's a great shot! This is something that I would have chosen for a photo a lot of times there is a place in town that has an old Tank or the Airport has a vintage aircraft. Good choice and the Red in the wing tanks set off the Red in the Monte.

 

Cool shot for sure...

And folks we have one of our members located immediately north of the U.S. from Canada entering the competition, cool!!

Jeez... please don't let this pic goes uncontested! I thought it was a pretty good theme choice and I know there are some great photos out there to be taken. Submissions are only supposed to be open for another 2 days, tho I'm willing to extend that. I thought members would be all over this one...
