It's true. Every word of it. And all of it has basically happened to me already.
My favorite part is the opening line though, "Today, more than ever before, education is playing an important role in the teaching of children."


It was all true in 1952. It is true 60 years later. It will be true in another 60 years.

I almost became a teacher about 6 years ago but the demand was in the gutter.

 

Teachers are the most under appreciated professionals in america. They had a bunch of teachers retire in my kids district. One of them was a teacher for a long time and was really a good teacher. 3 of my kids had him so we new him for a long time. The district had budget cut's and he was gonna make less money to teach then retire.

 

I'll have to post a video tommorow of the protest that occurEd at the high school I went to. The district planned to lay off teachers because of budget cuts and the students responded with a protest

 

Teachers are great people for the most part and I get along with most, there is the occasional teacher that thinks they're king of the world and they disrespect everyone, which is really unfortunate.

I believe, everyone is a teacher. Everyone is a teacher to someone; maybe it's your children, maybe it's a neighbor, maybe it's someone under your supervision in some other way, and in one way or another, you're teaching them by your actions...Maybe it's me (LOL) or one of our member's ?

To me a good teacher is a honest teacher...We have many great teacher's here on the MCF...I know I've learned something from so many of our member's about the Monte Carlo, and also so much about life...

Thanks for posting/sharing your `vid...It's great to see students supporting their teachers..
Did you participate in the March ?

I believe that good teaching has to start at home. I was fortunate to have a caring Grandfather & his senior citizen friends that taught me & shared their wisdom of age.
The BeachBum's & I were all home schooled because of the distant we lived away from the closest school.
They just didn't teach words, they acted their words & always made things interesting....I am so thankful to them 4-Sure!

I was disappointed when I went to college with the professor's I had...Most never showed `up & the one's that did, just showed movie's, or told us to read our books.
Most of the students already had the test, b-4 they were given I found this sad.
They were not dedicated teachers 4-Sure. They just went though the motions to get a paycheck..

I hope that you & member's have good teacher's & professor's 4-Sure...
