Watch the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach on ABC this Saturday
LOS ANGELES, California/USA – All the best moments from stop No. 3 on the 2014 Samsung Galaxy ASP World Championship Tour, the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach, are coming to US television audiences this Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 2 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. PT via ABC Sports and the World of X-Games.
Bells Beach played host to the world’s best surfers for the final stop on the Australian leg of professional surfing’s elite Tour and saw the ASP Top 34 and Top 17 continue their battle for the title of ASP World Champion.
On the men’s side the ASP Top 34 took to the waters of Rincon, the Bowl and Winkipop where current ASP World No. 1 Gabriel Medina led a field that included reigning three-time ASP World Champion Mick Fanning, 11-time ASP World Champion Kelly Slater and defending event winner Adriano de Souza alongside Jordy Smith, Julian Wilson, Michel Bourez and John John Florence.
Reigning two-time ASP Women's World Champion and defending event winner Carissa Moore led a field of the world’s best female surfers that included Lakey Peterson, Stephanie Gilmore, Sally Fitzgibbons, Courtney Conlogue, Tyler Wright, Coco Ho and more.
US fans can tune in to ABC this Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 2 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. PT to watch the world's best surfers showcase their talents at the historic event.
