What part are they calling southern Michigan? Is there any counties mentioned that are the Most at risk?

I appreciate the heads up!

Anywhere in the red circle (Canadian friends as well) has a chance in seeing a strong Tornado, anywhere in the Blue circle has an even better chance at seeing a EF4+ tornado. Large Hail is possible anywhere in Michigan and surrounding states today.

This is the big map of all areas with Tornado potential today

The red/especially Pink area's have a very very good chance of seeing strong violent tornadoes. If you are in those area's just be careful of any bad weather moving through

Again Big hail is possible throughout all of the color'd area's

The models show storms firing up at about 3pm and moving east very rapidly.

"Latest morning HRRR model forecast shows a line of isolated supercells from southwest Lower MI extending south through central/southwest IN to southeast IL by 3 pm CST.

Looks like tornadic supercells could be close to Grand Rapids, MI by 2-4 pm EST."

Im in the area to the right of the "blue" circle...
What looks like rain falling in the Detroit metro area. close to where Detroit and Windsor come together... (the lower yellow area)

This rain on radar now is nothing and will move off, The big storms you should see moving through around 3-4pm your time, just keep a watch out for bad weather it very possible today. Don't normally get this in Michigan do ya!

No not to this extent!

There was a tornado/wind sheer that came thru the "Taylor" area back in the 80's ... But I think it was more wind sheer than a full on Tornado.

Yes straight line winds do get mistaken for tornadoes often!

Today wont be much straight line winds, just tornadoes and lots of hail (Hide the Montes!)

Here is one more map, Anyone in the Blue Circle Has that chance of strong Violent tornadoes!

All those little cars are storm chasers ready for the day
