what a crazy night at work....
You can only imagine the look on my face when I go to lock the door, and the whole core to the lock came out with the key.... I hope the store opens tomorrow!
Don't know how I got it to go back in, but i did..

Its 930pm, Just finished the Monte..
I was surprised as to how clean the motor was on the inside after 163,000 miles. Not 1 speck of gunk to clean out! Other than the usual discoloration of years of oil running thru it. Clean up obviously was a breeze... I did find a few vacuum line connectors etc that were aged and cracked.. That I did replace.. Somehow..It feels like its running Crisper.
That is to say the pedal response.... Is instant! Even the radiator fans come on normally again! Its amazeing what changes when you end up disconnecting everything on the top end...electrical,mechanical, vacuum etc... I must have done something right!
It also came with a new thermostat thats a 180... However I kept my 190 in it... And of course new elbows, those were fun. I believe I only lost maybe 1 1/2 quarts of anti freeze! (I bought 2 gallons) I by passed draining it by clamping off the main hoses from the radiator.. I owe the minimal loss of antifreeze to that and also when I removed the Tensioner.
Not a whole lot drained from there which saved me the trouble of worrying about any contaminateing the oil.
I have 1 question though...
Has anyone ever found that on opposite ends of the intake after you remove the plenum etc....There was oil in the passenger side rear most "chamber"/"pocket" (where the 2 inner bolts on opposite sides in the pockets) My guess is... that one in particular was due to that bolt in the pocket was actually loose from the factory... Causeing oil to seep into the top of the lower manifold.
Maybe:
Mine was the only 1 like this?
More than likely I wont be on much tomorrow...
I have a 9 am eye appt. (yearly checkup)...
I think they enjoy "Dialateing" youe eyeballs...Cause once the exam is over... I cant hardly see squat for hours! They give you those funny plastic
lenses to hook on your glasses for going out doors... So, the sun doessnt blind you completely! (For those of u that wear glasses)
Your not suppose to drive yourself home afterwards... I just sneak my way back thru the neighborhood home LOL...
Have a great night EV1!
Im beat!
GoodNight!
