Good evening everyone, spending most of the weekend down at the local ribfest checking out the other bands that played and of course enjoying some fine ribs and pulled pork It's amazing to see all the people there everyday and all of them getting orders of food, the guys and gals selling the ribs must be making a killing over the 4 days, and good for them.
Was hanging at the beer tent last night with my drummer and chatting with one of the security guards, when all of a sudden she asked me to watch the gate for her and took off, so when she came back I asked what was up and was advised that one of the ladies was told not to take another sip of beer or she would be escorted out of the grounds, and low and behold she decided to take another couple of sips and when security asked her to come with them she threatened to punch one of them in the head, so all security was called and they even brought the k9 dog with them just in case, so I almost got to see the events of what happens on cops, but apparently she wasn't drunk enough to follow through on her threats, which is probably a good thing. It always amazes me how people get drunk to that point when they are out a what essentially is an event for families as it is sponsored by big brothers and big sisters, and all over the place there are games and face painting aimed at making kids happy and having a good time.
Oh well hope everyone enjoyed their day.
I also saw the Tony Stewart incident last night, and at first thought, "this has to be fake" but apparently it is not. The second thing I thought was "why did the guy get out of his car, you should never do that at a race when other cars are whipping by, in case this sort of thing happens" but I did not see the events that led up to the reason as to why he would have gotten out of the car in the first place. Still sad to see something like that happen
