Angry stray cats...

i think i may have posted this before, but right now im overly pissed about all the stray cats in my neighborhood. they were under controll for a while, but they are jumping up all over my car again, trackin mud all across the hood roof and windows, but now i guess they are having some kind of turf war, 'caus they are going around pissing on everything..... INCLUDING THE MONTE!!!! yup, one of them claimed my wheel as its own, i got it cleaned off pretty good but im worried one of em might decide to hop on the car and "mark" the hood and strip the paint off. they also got my front door, mom's truck, my woodpile and trashcan. im ready to shoot them with my air rifle & make stir-fry for dinner!!!!! but thats kinda a bad option, i dont need to get cought shooting them.

so guys & gals,
what are my alternitive methods of keeping them away?

yha gonna have to have my buddie come over with his .22.... mabe the 16 gauge with birdshot? now that would be a mess, haha.

my problem is im smack dab in the middle of a residential neighborhood with no hunting permitted. we have a lil under 2 acres, but scince they have built up around us, and i cannot ever seem to catch them on our property, its kinda a no go with shooting 'em.

and there is no animal controll localy anymore. they lost their funding over a year ago.

i really need a repellant. not that those ever work, lol. mabe i need a bear trap too.... actually, if i could catch the damn things i'd crate 'em & haul em down to the parkland. food for the cyotes, lol.

a good pellet gun has the same or more power than a standard .22 cal

my rws diana shoot around 1200 fps while a .22 shoots from 1000-1400 fps depending on the load of the round. plus it's quieter than a .22 cal.

yha my lil air rifel is a remington pellet / BB gun... its something like 1000 FPS after about 20 pumps i think? problem is, by the time i get a pellet loded and it pumped 20-40 times the cat's long gone.

any real pellet gun is gonna be a break-barrel or a fixed lever/side cocking. they're spring loaded so you can leave it cocked all day with damaging it. the down side is that they cost about as much as a .22, but cheaper in the long run.

Depending on where you live, the gun may work out just fine.

I would go to a place like Farm Supply and buy a few traps and some cat food. It's cheaper than a .22 if you don't already have one. Plus, you'll get in a lot less trouble for it. Just capture them all and take them off to the pound is the more humane thing to do.

But speaking of stray cats, a friend of mine had a stray cat turn up... which turned out ot be pregnant... so 1 cat turned into about 6... then 6 into about 10, then ten to about 15... there were about 20 cats out there at oen point. we loaded up the 14 or so he didn't like and took them to a guy who went to school with's house and dropped them all off. About 3 stayed there and he was pissed about even them. In retrospect, we should have got a bag of cat food and spread cat food over the yard so the cats would take up residence.

So is there anyone who has pissed you off? This could work!
