Default Stageway

Thought some of you may find this piece of automotive history interesting?

Stageway built limo (extended) style vehilces from regular Detroit autos. They were popular with airports, higher end hotels, and such. Even some ranches out west owned one.

(of course the link I picked is the '57 Chevy page)

How cool would be to find one of these stretched autos. One that was still in some type of decent or repairable shape with most or all the parts still there.

Being a '57 Chevy nut I love the unique or different models. Such as the ambulances, or windowed Sedan Deliveries. Everyone owns a 2-door Hardtop, Convertible, or Nomad. One of the Stageway '57 Chevies would be cool in my collection.

Very cool indeed, rj.
This reminds me of the Chrysler Executive Limo I learned about when I was more heavily involved in the Mopar front wheel drive world.

They are an extremely rare find today.
They took a K-car and stretched it.

Small world.

I waited a long time to mention my '57s on the EEKs forum. I mean a long time. Didn't want people thinking I was bragging. And I never did talk about the Montes. Again, bragging.

There used to be someone here in Windsor that owned oneof those stretch K-cars. Looked kinda cool back in the day.
