This is the Bike/walking bridge that is located about 4 mi from my house. They just got done building it and put the finishing touches on it this last month. It goes over the Des Moines River and is supposed to be one of the highest bridges of it's kind. 4th picture shows the car bridge that goes over the river and the bike bridge is easily 2 times as tall

The rust is normal. They used some type of metal that you don't have to ever paint but it gets a natural/rusty look. I will have to do some looking around and see if i can find out what it actually is.

edit: it is called Cor-Ten Steel

Cor-ten steel is what they make shipping containers out of... very tough mess, but if you paint it, it won't rust.... anywho, looks really cool......

Below is one of my favorite Bridges in the Keys
It's a race course over the water 4-Sure : )
seven-mile-bridge

Seven mile bridge is spanning 10887.5 meters or 6.765 Miles. The construction is standing over the Gulf of Mexico and linking Key Vaca in the Middle keys with little duck key in the lower keys. The road which was already build above the bridge is called the Overseas Highway

Click above link if you like bridges (They are amazing & it's great that there are those that have the ability to contruct & connect us to the other side) ~>Yes, the other side : ) LOL
