Default So...someone is watching over..

Just gotta say I love life right now....because death surely doesn't want me yet!

Just a few minutes ago I was close to loosing my monte, and probably my life as well...
I was finally finished with my shopping for the day, got some food, potting soil, couldn't resist buying a Dale Jr popcorn tin at walmart. I was finally pulling into the center turning lane to my complex on a fairly busy two laned road. As I ease myself in to turn i see a Scion XB in the distance with a huge cloud of dust behind it. Took a second to realize this thing is probably going 100mph+ on a 40mph road. I see it weaving back & fourth into the center lane, straight at me...
I slam on the brakes & he comes to atleast 2 feet from my car still not backing down his speed & then the cop is riding the shoulder 4 car lengths behind.
I'm now at this point paler than a ghost, shaking as I pull into my complex. Once I got to my parking spot & get out of the car I hear a loud bang in the distance.
I hope the cop is ok....& I hope whoever is hit is ok too..

Just want to say thank you to whoever god or goddess watching over me..

Wow! That couldn't have been fun being on the receiving end of that. I've got a few relatives that are cops that have been involved in high speed chases themselves - I posted a video on here of one a while back. It's just stupid to run from the cops, as you'll never outrun their radios and all the others you put at risk around you is just stupid.

Hopefully when that guy crashed he only hurt himself.

No it would not!

If you heard of the term "seeing death in their eyes" I definitely did.

Wow. Don't know what I would've done in that situation. You basically have to go with instincts. Glad he missed you Jen.

Mike you're exactly right. You can outrun the Crown Vic, but you can't outrun their radios.

I've had a similar thing happen with someone going 75mph on the wrong side of the highway. You really do just freeze up and everything after that is a blur for a while.

Glad you are ok Jen. That is really terrifying when you come that close to certain death. Hope everyone else ends up ok.

I have seen,looked into deaths eyes..I was pronounced dead.TWICE!
I know exactly what that experience feels like!
The only difference....The girl did hit us!. On our Harley...The cops said it was over a 90 mph impact! Speed limit was 45mph. (That we were traveling at was the posted speed limit...)
The girl was traveling a little over 40mph trying to beat the light... And turned into us broadside!
I'm so glad your ok Jen..and that you were not involved.
