Default Snowboarding

I went snowboarding for the first time yesterday and it was a blast! I rented a board and boots from the place we went, and by the time we left I was starting to do pretty well. Now I'm looking for a board of my own so I can get out a few more times this year and try to get prepared for next year Anyone else on here snowboard?

Ive only been once as well, went to a really basic place here, not much for mountains in eastern nebraska..or nebraska in general for that point..I'm not great with things that require balance like that, like skating or snowboarding, but it was a blast still..especially when i made it down without wiping out, which only happened like twice

I never tried it bet when I was a kid we would go down the local sledding hill standing on our sleds, then once it was frozen we would ice skate down it onto the skating rink. I don't know how we didn't break more bones.

No, but I sure would love to try..I try to watch the X-Games & those kids are super talented & brave the way that they blast out on their snowboards 4-Sure...

I thought I was good on a skateboard, or surfboard, but these guys would make me look like I was in a kindergarden
board class WoW, they are good 4-Sure..

Great to read you had a super time, and `if you go often, I would invest in the equipment...How far are you from snowboardin locations ?

“Slope Finals is gonna be nuts.”

The level of slopestyle riding at this year’s Winter X Games 15 is like nothing you’ve seen before. The overall talent and precision of tricks have increased so much this season, we’re almost to the point where “Nearly-flawless!” just isn’t nearly good enough. As multiple double-corks become the norm and gap hardway 270s are labeled as “stock”, scores are running consistently into the high 90s—yet the names you might expect to be up there seem to be a bit missing. With an average age of just 20 years old, Sunday’s Final is now set. Slopestyle Elim. showed us once again that the guard’s been changed—and the youth won’t stop until they’ve fully taken this s—t over.

Not to be a downer but my associate at work went to a funeral yesterday. It was on the news.. the kid (24 years old) in Utah was extreme snow boarding and ignored avalanche warnings his friends told him not to go. He went any way, caused an avalanche, tried to avoid it and fell 2,400 feet. He was from Hillsdale MI. My Associate used to coach the kid in High school football.

This subject just brought it to mind. Be safe out there Kids.

Hi `Tadd,
It's always sad when a young person is taken b-4 their time ...It's always another reminder for everyone to extract the most from each new `day they are given...

Life to me is a gamble & a risk & I know that I still take risk all the time...Just getting in any vehicle or walking down the street is a risk ~> So, get out there & EnJoy your Life...
Be as safe as you can `be, but What `if ?
(Sorry 4 the highJack),
<~>What `if ? 4-Sure Human Life is fragile & it does not
last 4-Ever....No one is guaranteed a 2morrow 4-Real-Sure

No snow boarding in Florida. Probably a good thing though, I'd hate to break a hip. Haha
