Don't laugh but that bit of snow you had....... was enough to cancel school here in Ohio.

It didn't used to be like that. Used to be it had to snow quite a bit for school to close.

But now they close school cause it rains. (no joke)


To anyone with their car setting out and it has seveal inches of snow on top.

Snow is heavy. Wet snow is heavier.
All this works on the car's suspension. It has to support not only the car but now all this snow.

Clean your car/truck/SUV/tricycle off when it snows like this.

We have about 10" on the ground now, about 8" fell the other day, and then 3", and then 2", and then 2", and.......SPRING SOMEDAY?

Oh hell no!!!! I'm loving the snowmobiling, ATVing, ice fishing, cross country skiing. - only nice thing about being unemployed.

The schools in and around Detroit are like that too now. The schools get cancelled based on the weather forecasts. Aside from what horrible shape the roads are in, the closures have more to do with how unreliable the power grid and water mains are.

Were getting the best today. Freezing Rain.

All the gutters are covered by snow so all the water is sitting in the road. I conservatively have 2 inches of ice/water in front of the house now.

We had a little rain this morning which with the wamer temps all but melted any snow/ice we had left.

BUT.......... tomorrow's another day and they predict snow.
