You & me both.

I must be retarded, but Voyager was head above shoulders my favorite series.

Too bad the finale wasn't better thought out after the demise of Gene R.

Oh, I saw her close up at the 4 Captains reunion a few years back in Pasadena. She was the most gracious and adorable person anyone would want to meet.

I just wanted to give her a big hug so badly.[sm=love.gif]

Of the Trek conventions we've been to I have to say Grace Lee Whitney was one of the nicest actors I've ever talked with. And she wasn't looking too bad for a 70 + year old either.

Gary Lockwood wanted to take my g/f Deb home with him. )Not joking)
Majel Barrett thought Deb was such a sweet dear. (her words)
Walter Koenig was exceptionally nice to me. I happen to catch him looking over Trek stuff in the vendors room.
George Takie was a major a$$ to me. Why? Beats me?
Tim Russ was very nice.
As was Jennifer Lien.
Had a chance to meet Marina Sirtis but the plane was delayed due to snow.
And she is one babe I would definately take home!!!

GPD,

I just happen to catch Voyager's last 2-part episodes on Spike yesterday. End Game.

I wasn't sure if this WAS Voyager's last episode so I went online to have a look see? I found a web site that tore these shows to shreds. The author stated the script was so lame it wasn't funny.

I happen to like the second part, or the very last show.

Yeap, it was pretty weak after the huge lead up.

They could have done better. As I mentioned, they rushed to end it after Gene died.

As a former Trekster, (notice I'm not a Trekkie), I can tell you this is how we summed the various series up.

The formla was very simple but difficult to pick up at first.

Original Series: Simple themes with complex socially impacting solutions

TNG: Complex themes with simple socially impacting solutions.

Deep Space Nine: Complex themes with complex socially impacting solutions.

Voyager: Simple themes with simple techno-babbled solutions.

The New Star Trek: I got bored after the first season!

I guess I liked Voyager because I could walk away and miss 10 minutes of dialogue and still figure out what was going on.

Plus it had no social redeeming value and that is how I like my entertainment

The nit pickers wanted more from the Trek, I thought Voyager was a great counter-intuitive approach.

The franchise is too dependent on the following so of course the nitpickers won out in the end and Voyager was killed.

Now you can buy it $1.50 an episode off of Yahoo movies.
