Its sad to say but I think its time to sell the monte. After bringing it into the service station to have yet again more work done to it ( leaking oil from the top back half of the engine at only 60,000 mile.) i was given a rental for the couple of days it would take to fix. They gave me a 2011 Chevy Equinox to drive and i must say I like driving it. I like the way it drives and having AWD is nice. I think i am going to go the SUV route. Need a bigger car anyways since we are thinking of expanding our family. So next week i think i am gonna start looking.

 

Man good luck with the new vehicle search but id stay away from the new equinox a friend has one & they dont like it bought it new & are trading it in already, there nice but long trip comfort & room isnt really there like u think it would be

Sorry to hear you're sellingthe Monte.

If I had the funds I would like to find another Monte. But this would be a daily driver. (no laughing please cause you know how I am)

My dd isn't going to last forever. I still like the car and everything. But at 183,xxx miles the Mitsubishi V6 needs work. I just put a brand new gas tank and fuel pump in the car to get it running again. So far, so good.

Good luck with the next vehicle. I understand your reasons though. If it's becoming a money pit, and you need more room anyway, may as well cut your losses and move on to the next vehicle.
