Default School Car Club!

Hey guys! So I'm trying to figure out ways to take my mind off Blake being gone and all so I thought about creating a car club for UWF! I see nice cars all the time around campus but I never see them at any of the meets around town so I'm gonna try to create this club and get them all together. I haven't thought this all the way through yet. I gotta couple ideas for activites that the club could do like go to local car meets together, participate in car shows and cruises and eventually maybe host a car show at UWF and then of course have fundrasiers for charities and such. But I need more ideas and a name for the club would be nice lol. So if you guys have any ideas that a college auto club could do please tell me bcuz I really want this club to be sucessful, active, and not lame lol. Thanks!

Getting a club up and running can be costly. Depending on how much you want to sink it to doing this making up fliers with info about the club so you can place one on a windshield of a car you think you'd like to have join the club can be a great way of getting the word out about your club. So can posting a flier in a public place. Most schools have a public bulletin board you could place a flier on once you get a flier made up you're happy with.

Expect some clowns to join the club no matter what you do. I've been there. And I've been one of the clowns myself. Only cause I was unhappy with the way the club was being run. And the fact other members decided they wanted to have their own "Special" little club inside our club that didn't include the rest of the members. Sorry, I don't go for that crap. If you're a working, current member of a club then it's only fair you're included in club activities.

Good luck with your idea. If I can be of any more help let me know.

Sounds like a great way to meet new people with like interest.

Nothing says you can't start out as just a small group that gets together to cruise or sit and talk cars before deciding to become an "official" car club with all the activites associated. Like RJ suggest the best way might be to make just a handful of fliers and put them on cars that you think the owners might go for something like that... you can tell! Afraid if you post on a public board you'll end up with some freaks... just look around here (JOKING!!!!), but it is easy to tell car people by the way they treat their cars.

Good luck and let us know how it goes and exactly how you did it, in case others want to do the same!

Is there a wrong answer to that question? Besides I think I'll leave that up to Brittany to decide!
