Work is Work, but I'm thankful to `be working & making decent $'s.
With the shut down of our government > NASA is becoming a ghost complex & traffic is lighter. Many were put on furlough & the spacecoast got hit hard when they cancelled the program It's a slow economic recovery for this area of Florida.

When I do get `off time I spend it with my Beach Bum Friends & Family. I only see my girlfriend sporadically when our schedules don't conflict on our limited time 2-gether. "Giving `up to get 2 where you want to `be isn't always E.Z. 4-Sure...

I think i will still have a good time today! Had a great time last night and i was sick! We will see! Wonder if ryan is feeling better as well! Hope someday in the future you can make it out to a meet!

Work is def. a bummer sometimes but that's the trade off for getting older!

Sometimes it's not a matter of a person not wanting to change. Sometimes a person may want to change, but doesn't know how to change. Sometimes a person is not capable of processing positive thought. It's not that they don't want to, they just can't. Their cognitive thinking prevents it. It can be quite frustrating to desire feeling good about yourself and the world around you but not being able to 'see' the positive. Even more frustrating are those that think it is simply a matter of 'snapping out of it' or perceive the situation as the person feeling sorry for themselves. Sometimes people don't have a choice, even though they desperately wish they did.

 

Hi `Devin, with your GM award does it mean they will give you a super discount on a new Camaro or Stingray ? It's great that you were chosen & that your Super Super Monte is being viewed around the World...

Yes, I sure hope the clowns in D.C. get their act 2gether or `be replaced. Again, I think the Big Corporations are running our country It's so frustrating to see/read what's going on in our country. Makes me want to `go live on a private island

My senior friends are going crazy with this new Health plans > I've been doing research for them & the more I research, the more I am confused. (but, that happens easily lol).

Maybe ?, that is why so many on planet `earth are taking medications for their moods/behavior/etc. > The Happy Pills < I still believe that everyone has a CHOICE...> They can research, get help from the professionals etc. I sure don't have the answers, but I keep searching & learning & helping those that I can on my journey of `life.

No offense intended 'Space, but the idea that people have a choice and can simply choose to be positive or negative just exasperates the situation. Using terms like 'happy pills' just adds to the social stigma those that require medication have to deal with. They don't take medication to be 'happy'. They take it to correct a chemical imbalance so that they can begin to see the positive as well as the negative. This gives them the ability to then 'reprogram' the cognitive thought patterns so they can experience and enjoy some of the positive. A person that has a (more or less) balanced chemical composition have no problem experiencing and feeling all aspects of our emotions, but that is not a choice for those with a chemical imbalance. If the mind does not allow you to see the positive then there is no choice to make. The most difficult part of it all is for the person to realize and admit (to themselves) that they may suffer from mental illness. Even then, they still have to deal with and overcome the negative rationalization in their mind to take the second step...seek help. Bottom line...if you can't see the positive aspects then there simply is no choice to make.
