I went to visit my dealer.

The Monte is in the body shop, closed today, they wouldn't let me see it, but at least its inside, so they must be making progress.
New fender and Mirror from being sideswiped for those that haven't been following.

The Camaro had a P015B code for O2 sensor.
They reset it and said its just condensation.

I'm out for a drive, gotta burn of this tank that has Stabil and fill-er-up agin. then we'll see if that code comes back.

Good luck Tom. I know and share the anxiety of having a loved ride in the body shop!

Good afternoon everyone, just got back from my local Canadian Tire, where I had two new Goodyear Eagle 1 Nascar tires put on, and had them check what it needs for a front end alignment and they came back with a total bill of $1624.76. They are telling me I need a new drivers side control arm, as the ball joints and tie rods are bad, but according to them it is cheaper to get a whole new control arm, as well as a passenger side tie rod and a new drivers side wheel bearing. I personally find that price a little high as I could go and buy a used monte carlo ss for that price that is safetied and e tested so now I am beginning my hunt to find parts and do the work myself.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend

I did my tie rod end in about 15 minutes. Control arm and cv axle took me a little longer.. but just the control arm shouldn't take more than 3 hours each side.

You have given me great news! I did not think the Goodyear NASCAR tires were available anymore. I've had a Goodyear dealer tell me he could no longer order them, nor could he find any in any of his affiliate stores. Goodyear Canada's site no longer lists them. If Canadian Tire has a secret stash of 'em, I'll go buy a spare set this week. The ones on the BudChev are not too bad, but one day I'll need another set and I'll be screwed.

I really wish they'd make 'em in yellow again. Demand couldn't have been that bad.

Ya, I've already looked up parts, and to do both control arms with ball joints, both wheel bearings and new tie rods on both sides will cost me under 300 in parts, and I know I can do that myself. So I think I know what my spring project is going to be

Sorry to do this to you Brent, but these were ones that I had picked up last summer. The only way to find them is to come across them online some how. I feel bad for getting your hopes up.

Dang it! I knew it was too good to be true! But it's not a big deal. Like I said, I don't need them yet. I just keep hoping GoodYear will bring 'em back or even make another, better RWL tire to fit. There not even that great of tires - they just look so cool!
