Mornin guys. Sorry I didn't check in after getting to KY last night. It was an eventful trip up here. My left front tire blew on the interstate. Got it over to the side of the road and waited over an hour on the tow truck to get there. Finally got it replaced (no possible way I could have remotely afforded to replace both fronts, let alone all 4) and finished the trip. I think later today I'm going to go make sure the air pressure is equal with the new one and the old ones. I wonder if bumping up the air pressure to compensate for the much colder air (I was down to 25psi or so cold so I bumped it back up to 35) contributed to the tire blowing out. Makes me wonder what the pressure gets up to on the interstate. Gonna have to ask my dad for some help though so I can replace the other 3 as well. I was going to be able to get the transmission for the truck paid off in 2 weeks but this pushes that back to the 2nd or 3rd week of March ugh. Probably be that long before I can afford to replace the other tires as well unless I can get some help from my dad.

Hope everyone had a better Friday than I did.

Hi `Drew,
Sorry to read about the problems you had on your trip .
Didn't you have a spare in your Monte ? I hope you had road service coverage (?)
Drew, I would keep the pressure the same in both front tires 4-Sure..
"Tires can be replaced easier then your life or injuries (even if the price is high for service & a new tire)
Try to look at the positives, and be thankful that you are OK & so is your Monte...I've seen many bad accidents from blow outs on the interstate...(when I was young I would help one of the seniors that had a tow truck & I would help clean up the accident scenes)
I hope that your father can help with you getting some good tires...Wish you the best & I'm glad that you & your Monte are OK 4-Sure..

Wish you a better day & WeekEnd...Be safe on your return trip ~> Good Luck from `Space

Space I sold the Monte a few weeks ago. I just haven't had a chance to change my sig pic to one with my Camaro. I was in the Camaro when it happened. If I had been in the Monte, my entire front left fender and wheel well likely would have been destroyed. I've seen far too many blowouts destroy weaker modern fenders with pieces of the tire. That also exposes the engine to possible damage. I checked the Camaro over and no damage to the wheel well or fender. Only damage was the cover for the side marker light.

We're just staying in and watching college bball today. It won't even get out of the 20s today. Way too cold to go out.

Hey Space; how much snow are you expecting where you are? Haha.
We are expected to get a heavy frost. I have to bring my plants inside.

Sorry Drew to hear about your blowout. It sucks when that happens. I am glad that both you and the Camaro survived the ordeal relatively unscathed.

I liked the mouse satire, it was cool. Space I really like the three bedroom play mates. That has got to be every mans fantasy or at least mine.
