Nicoll's collection of "Blood Muscle" cars

Nicoll originally purchased his Yenko Nova for staggering $580,000, and when combining his other rare machines, it's said he spent well over $5 million on vintage muscle cars.

US Marshalls Siezed Muscle Car Bonanza Being Auctioned

From Superbirds to Shelbys, WOW!

Hot Rod Magazine,

“Blood Muscle” is the name of this auction of seven totally fantastic muscle cars from a seizure by the US Marshalls Office. Blood Muscle; what’s that about? According to the auctioneer’s website, one David Nicoll was president of New Jersey’s Biodiagnostic Laboratory Services (BLS), when he was convicted of bribery charges. He bribed doctors for their patents’ blood. He also obviously had a good eye for muscle cars, too.
According to the Feds Nicoll bribed doctors to have their blood specimens tested by BLS so they could bill Medicare, which between 2006-2012 amounted to over $200 million, In addition to the cars, the Feds have sold eight seat licenses to Pittsburgh Steelers home games, four personal seat licenses to New York Jets home games, three Philadelphia Eagles seat licenses, and four clubhouse seats for the Devils at the Prudential Center, court records show.
We’ve posted pictures of six of the seven cars below, plus the 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird above. The cars below are 1970 BOSS 429 Mustang, a 1967 Shelby GT 500, a 1969 Yenko Chevelle, Nova and Camaro, and a 1970 big block Chevelle convertible. Yes, Nicoll had a good eye.

AJ Willner is the auction company, and you can see more about the cars on their site HERE

Just got back from viewing these cars. The auction site was only 7 minutes from my job, so I did it during lunch.

The wanted me to register before looking, but since registration is giving them a check for $10K, that wasn't going to happen. After saying that I wasn't going to register, they let me in anyway.

These cars all look perfect, but you can't actually get close to them or even see inside them.

The Barracuda is completely disassembled, but it looked like it was all there, spread out over 7 or 8 pallets.

"Blood Money" muscle-car auction rakes in $2.5 million for fraud victims

By Justin Hyde 14 hours ago Motoramic

. View gallery

Nicoll had an obvious affection for vintage muscle cars deriving from all of the big three, but unfortunately he chose not to splurge any of his fraudulent cash on AMCs. He did buy a couple of Ferraris though.

For all the glamour that builds up around high-dollar car auctions in Las Vegas, Pebble Beach and other money pits, classic car buyers don't need that much pomp to spend money. Today's demonstration comes from New Jersey where the "Blood Money" collection of convicted medical scammer David Nicoll went up for sale. In a matter of minutes, the nine well-preserved examples of American muscle cars brought a total of $2.5 million, money that will go toward restitution for his crimes.
The highest bid was drawn by a 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird which sold for $575,000, apparently a new record for the bizarro NASCAR relic; not only was it one of the few ever built with a four-speed and the 426 Hemi, it had nearly all of its original parts. The next-highest bid arrived for the 1970 Chevrolet Yenko Nova, bringing $400,000.

All of these prices seem fairly healthy; if there was anything resembling a deal to be had, it might be the one car that had some assembly required — a 1971 Plymouth Hemi Cuda which had been partially restored. With Cudas now bringing more than $1 million, simply finishing this job could net a healthy profit from the auction price of $347,500. Here's the rest of the results:

1970 Mustang BOSS 429$265,000

1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500$170,000

1969 Chevrolet Yenko Camaro$315,000

1969 Chevrolet Yenko Chevelle$237,500

1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454$155,000

1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Convertible w/L89 swap$70,000
