I just know the joys of driving 72 miles to the movies one-way, then going out after the movies, then having to drive back (longer distance) and filling up before I left, and on my way home haha

The other day I got my needle just below the red E line for the 1st time. I've never ran outta gas (knock on wood) and don't ever plan on it.

When I bought the Monte, the Chevy dealer handed over the car with the gas guage on E. With the price of gas at the time (2 years ago), and the fact the supercharged Montes take premium, it cost me about $90 to fill it up.

Coincidentally, there just happened to be a gas station next to the dealership. Yeah.... I don't think it was a coincidence either.

WTF, you bought the car from a dealer and they did not even fill it up!!? I've never heard of such crap.

Never had a dealer fill up a used car. Usually will put in something like $5-10 bucks though. The salesman did fill my Monte when I bought it but I think that was cause she enjoyed driving it too!

I know how you feel Taz, my dad bought a Safari mini-van back in 93 running on fumes, seems like I was pumping gas for an hour to fill that hog!
